Our committee is comprised of an incredible group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. From organising events to managing day-to-day operations, they are the driving force that keeps our branch thriving. While you may not always see them in the spotlight, their efforts are the glue that holds our branch together.

Ian O'Toole
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Cathaoirleach is responsible for making sure that each meeting is planned effectively, conducted according to the Bunreacht and that matters are dealt with in an orderly, efficient manner. The Cathaoirleach must make the most of all his/her committee members, building and leading the team. The Cathaoirleach is one of the cornerstones of the unit and is responsible for the efficient working of that branch.
Tommy Conway
Roles and Responsibilities:
As vice-chair my responsibilities include promoting the social, cultural and historical aspects of our branch through our End of Term Class Concerts; our twice-a-month sessions hosted by Confey GAA; overseeing the production of our branch tune book and maintaining the archive pages on this website.
Breda Cody
Roles and Responsibilities:
As Committee Secretary, Breda supports the Chairperson by preparing meeting agendas, organising and minuting meetings, circulating relevant correspondence, responding to queries, and supporting sub-committees. She also arranges premises bookings, maintains communication with class tutors, and ensures effective record-keeping and administration.
Carla Cody
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Treasurer is at all times responsible to fellow officers and members for the financial affairs of the Branch.
Cian Brennan
Roles and Responsibilities:
As PRO, my roles include the promotion of the Branch and events on our Social Media pages as well as acting as a liaison between the committee and members of the branch and public.
Nuala Keane
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Auditor signs financial statements and should make themselves available to the Treasurer at all times, but especially prior to the AGM
Mary FitzGerald
Roles and Responsibilities:
‘Sí an Ghaeilge a chothú agus a chaomhnú gan teip’ ceann des na haidhmeanna a roghnaigh Comhaltas sa bhliain 1951 agus atá leagtha síos sa Bhunreacht. Chuige sin, tá post lárnach ag Treoraí na Gaeilge sa chraobh chun cur leis an gcothú sin.
Nóirín Ní Shúilleabháin
Roles and Responsibilities:
As Branch DLP, Nóirín oversees child protection and safeguarding, acts as the main contact for concerns, maintains confidential records, ensures compliance with relevant policies, and provides guidance on best practices.
Emmet O'Toole
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a branch Delegate to the County Board, I represent our branch at meetings of Kildare County Board, ensuring our views are heard and key updates are relayed back to the branch. Additionally, I am responsible for maintaining and updating our branch website.
Often the majority of members of the Branch are young people so it is important that in selecting Oifigeach na nÓg (under 25 years of age) support is provided for the needs of these members.
